Plat of Zion collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking.
If you tap the locate button, your device's location is used on-device to center the map on the parcel you're standing on. It is never transmitted, stored, or shared.
To show you information about a parcel, the app requests public records directly from government and public open-data services — including the Utah Geospatial Resource Center, county assessor and recorder services, municipal (city) GIS services for zoning and city-council districts, and state services for legislative, school-board, and voting-precinct districts. It also downloads a public roster of current legislators. These requests include only the parcel or map area you are viewing — never your identity or your device's location. Each service is operated independently by its government or public provider and is subject to that provider's own terms.
Parcels you bookmark are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
